Pacific Secrets

Why settle for one island getaway when you can score a whole bunch of them? We inspire you to pack your bikinis and sunscreen and hit the untouched white sand beaches of Fiji.

Officially known as the Republic of Fiji, Fiji is an archipelago of over 330 islands, of which 110 are permanently inhabited.

Suva, Fiji’s capital, serves as its principle cruise port and houses an international airport. Apart from Suva, the islands of Nadi, Savusavu, Labasa, and Taveuni have airports too. Fiji maintains its sunny weather from late March right through November. The islands are best avoided during the monsoon, which goes on from December to the start of April.

Get Cast Away

In 2000, when Hollywood blockbuster Cast Away made its way to the screen, we were enamored by two things – Tom Hank’s performance and the azure waters of the island where his character was marooned. If you want to have your own ‘Wilson’ moment (minus the isolation and agony), wade your way to Mamanuca Islands. Its white beaches and turquoise waters make it the perfect honeymoon spot, and it also offers water sports and picturesque cruises.

Splash About

Closed to tourists until the 1950s, Yasawa islands is custom-built for the adrenaline junkie. While it is great for kayaking, snorkeling, and sailing, we suggest you also spend some time exploring Sawa-i-Lau.

Known for its stunning limestone caves and emerald waters, Sawa-i-Lau is perfect for a day trip.

Spa it Up

Armed with luxury resorts, white sand beaches, and a massive 18-hole golf course, Denarau Island is all set to pamper you silly. A visit to one of the many high-end spas is an absolute must. You could also sign up for scenic tours and village visits.

Take a Wild Ride

From rainforests to reefs, Taveuni has everything you need for an adventure. The Bouma National Heritage Park is home to more than a hundred species of birds and a large range of wildlife like the Fiji banded iguana and the Fijian monkey-faced bat. You could also dive deep into Somosomo and Strait Rainbow Reef.
