Best Places to Visit in India After the Pandemic

The coronavirus pandemic has changed everyone’s life, and there is no denying that. People are getting used to the ‘New Normal’, wearing a mask even when you are just going to your grocery or stationary shop. Even though the lockdown acted as a break from work, it caused a bit of boredom staying at home for months and not exploring the outside world. The open roads, the limitless sky, the trees’ calm and sitting on the grass on open land, the sense of freedom that we had in all these months. The feeling of being alive, enjoying freedom with mother nature, was missed by all.

Here are some safe places via road and extremely breathable places to visit India after the lockdown to give treats and my time to yourself to overcome that lockdown phase.

The Golden Triangle:

Taj Mahal

The Golden Triangle consists of Delhi, Agra, and Jaipur. These destinations are only a short distance apart but contain the most wonderful and beautiful sights and monuments.

There is Qutub Minar, India Gate, Jamali Kamali, and many more places to visit, showing India’s historical past. Agra is the home to the mark of love, the monument Taj Mahal. Jaipur the Pink City, welcoming the tourists with its open arms, the colorful markets, the temples, and the museums tells us about the past.

Even though this road trip might be a bit of a hassle, it’s up to you to convert this hassled trip into an enjoyable and memorable trip through proper planning.

Varanasi is the place to visit to know, feel, and understand India’s culture. It is one of the holiest and oldest cities inhabited in the world; the sight over here is unique and unforgettable for tourists. The nightly Ganga Aarti and the boat ride along the holy river Ganga watching the sunrise or the sunset is a sight to see. The reflection of the sun on the water feels like a magical glow to the eyes. The rituals along the riverbank, of life and death, the feeling can’t be described in words.

Rajasthan:

Rajasthan is one of the most colorful states in India. Jaipur’ The Pink City’, having the majestic fort, is a gateway to the most intoxicating sites. Udaipur, ‘The City of Lakes’ also the romantic city having beautiful and mesmerizing lakes, is a must-visit. Jodhpur’ The Blue City’ has the mightiest and ancient with the most delicious food ever. Ajmer’ The Heart of Rajasthan,’ a small yet loving city attracting tourists to the Pushkar fair and Durgah Sharif, will make your journey complete. Having a different culture in different cities filled with colorful bazaars, welcoming cities, wonderful sights to watch, there is so much to see in Rajasthan to feel about the diversity yet unity in culture.

Kerala:

Kerala is God’s own country, the southern state of India. This state is a perfect place to visit when you need a break and want to dive into nature; with a luscious state having gorgeous backwaters, this is a must-visit place. Visiting Kerala and taking a cruise in “Kettuvallam,” a traditional rice barge is a must. The calmness of the sea and relaxation of nature makes Kerala a perfect state to give yourself a break to get to know yourself more. This state has a lot more to offer, starting with delicious seafood, hill stations, temples, beaches, spices, coconut water, and ending with the tropical jungles and a tan on the skin.
